Unrequited Lust

I went to Internet World today.  Possibly the most boring trade show in the world, it did manage to turn up one surprise.  It’s rare that I’m struck by a guy’s good looks, but Mr. 3D packshot salesman managed to turn my head.  About 6′2″ with dark, short hair and unnaturally pale blue eyes, slim and classically handsome, I just had to stop at his stand as soon as I saw him.  Contriving an excuse to talk to him, we struck up a conversation.  Of course, he was foreign.  English guys aren’t traditionally tall, dark and handsome.  As I heard an American comedian once say, “Most English men look as if they have been squashed into a box and then the box has been removed.”  This guy looked as if he could have been Italian or Eastern European.  I’m crap when it comes to working out where a person is from.  He had a seductive voice, soft and gentle and sexy.  His blue eyes were a major distraction, especially when they starred into my own. Then he asked for my card and I debated whether I should say, “If I give you this, you must promise to call me.”  But I figured that wouldn’t be very appropriate as I was there with the guy that I thought had dumped me a few days ago but perhaps has not.  The jury is still out on this. I wondered if he thought I’d appeared to be incredibly interested in the guy’s packshot photography services.  I walked away and got in my car and smiled just knowing that today I’d met one guy who really turned me on.
